Wattana Wittaya Academy Holds Workshop to Strengthen Student Safety and Well-being

On Tuesday, 11 August 2026, Wattana Wittaya Academy held a workshop for teachers and educational staff to review and develop approaches to preventing risks, monitoring student well-being, and providing timely and appropriate support.

The workshop reflected the school’s commitment to creating a safe and supportive learning environment, with a holistic approach to the physical and emotional well-being of both students and staff.

A key focus was the creation of a “Safe Zone” within the school, built on understanding, trust, and positive relationships between teachers and students. The workshop centred on three key areas:

1. Proactive Prevention and Monitoring
The school continues to strengthen its student screening and monitoring systems, enabling teachers to recognise potential concerns, observe changes, and provide timely support. The workshop also addressed emergency preparedness, including systematic response plans and procedures designed to enhance safety across the school community.

2. Understanding Risk Factors and Their Impact on Students
Teachers exchanged perspectives and explored factors that may affect students’ behaviour, emotions, and learning today. These included academic and competitive pressures, family relationships, the influence of social media, bullying, and the use of inappropriate or hurtful language. By developing a deeper understanding of these challenges, teachers are better equipped to provide support that responds to each student’s individual needs.

3. Strengthening Positive Practices among Teachers and Staff
The school encourages positive communication and strong teacher–student relationships to foster a warm, supportive learning environment where students feel heard, valued, and encouraged. The workshop also emphasised confidentiality and the protection of students’ personal information, as well as clear procedures for reporting concerns and coordinating appropriate responses both within the school and with external organisations in emergency situations.
