“Tanabata Festival” activities

The Foreign Language Department in Secondary Level organized the Tanabata Festival, an annual Japanese festival held in July. The students wrote their wishes on a small piece of paper called “tanzaku” and hung it on the Tanabata bamboo trees to pray to the stars for the wish to come true. Each color of paper represents different wishes, such as;

  • Blue – happiness, luck
  • Pink – love
  • Red – success
  • Yellow – prosperity
  • Green – achievement in study and work
