Foreign Language Department Organizes Chinese Cultural Activity: Calligraphy and Lantern Making

On 28 August 2025, the Foreign Language Department, Secondary Level, Wattana Wittaya Academy organized the activity “Chinese Calligraphy and Lantern Making” for students of M.2/2 and 2/3 in the Premium English Course (PEC), as well as upper secondary students in the Languages, Linguistics and Cultural Studies (LCS) Learning Block, Chinese Language Program.

The event was honored by distinguished professors and experts from the Confucius Institute at Mahidol University, including:
– Prof. Dr. Lin Yan, Director of the Confucius Institute (Chinese side)
– Asst. Prof. Dr. Paisan Sukjairungwattana, Director of the Confucius Institute (Thai side)
– Dr. Wang Lanpeng, Lecturer, Deputy Assistant Director of the Confucius Institute
– Ms. Li Sianqi, Chinese Volunteer Teacher, together with Mahidol University students

They shared their knowledge and experience in Chinese calligraphy and lantern making, enabling students to experience Chinese culture firsthand, strengthen their Chinese language skills, and gain a deeper understanding of cultural diversity.

On this occasion, Ms. Lantip Dvadasin, School Manager, visited the activity and warmly welcomed the distinguished professors and guests. The event was coordinated by Ms. Ni Dan, Chinese Language teacher.
